HERE ARE THE BOOKS I BOUGHT FROM AMAZON FOR ABOUT £3.00 FOR RESEARCH. THE 'CHAV!' BOOK WAS QUITE USEFULL AS IT GAVE REFERANCE TO EVERY ASPECT OF THE LIFESTYLE THESE PEOPLE LIVE HOWEVER MOST OF THE STUFF I ALREADY KNEW AND THE OTJER 2BOOKS WERE VERY CHEAP AND USELESS WHICH IS WHAT I EXPECTED REALLY.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE DRAWINGS I HAVE DONE OBVIOUSLY I WANT TO HAVE CONTINUITY WITHIN MY GAME WITH REGARDS TO HOW EACH CHARACTER LOOKS. AS YOU CAN SEE EACH DRAWING HAS A CHARICATURE-ISH LOOK TO THEM AND ALL HAVE BEADY EYES.

'Asbo' and 'chav' make dictionary

The latest edition of the Collins English Dictionary has been published, including 1,500 new words reflecting recent changes in language and culture.

Among the new words is "chav" - defined as "a young working class person who dresses in casual sports clothing".

Also included are "Asbo", the acronym of Anti-Social Behaviour Order, and "retrosexual", a heterosexual man who spends little time on his appearance.

The dictionary's editor-in-chief said it reflected a "vibrant" society.

The dictionary suggests the word chav may have come from the Romany term "chavi", meaning child.

'Property porn'

Elaborating on the theme, the tome also includes "chavette" - a female chav - and the adjectives "chavish" and "chavtastic" - designed for or suitable for chavs.

The chav's equivalents from Ireland - "skanger", Scotland - "ned" and East Anglia - "yarco", also get a mention.

Council Estate Photographs
Here are the majority of the photographs i took in East Leeds (Gipton, Seacroft, Harehills and Halton Moor). I have to say that when i was taking some of these pictures i got some funny looks from people which wasnt suprising really as run down council houses aint usually somehting which is photographed, however i think they have a lot of character compared to most private houses. My favourite picture is the one below taken in Gipton.
